Penelope Cruz Runs With Stray Dogs, Not Bulls

Actress Penelope Cruz has been an animal lover all her life. As a teen, she loved them so much, she even gave up eating meat.
Today, she continues to be an advocate and friend and has spoken out about bullfights in the past, taking a stance against a strong Spanish tradition that’s bound to send controversy her way.
“I feel I have the right to have my opinion on it and not every Spanish person likes it,” she said. “For me, personally, it’s not my thing. I don’t go.”
She’s also befriended stray animals while filming movies. For a project in Bandidas, Mexico, she found a four legged canine friend who was bleeding and took him home to live a posh life in L.A.
“I said, ‘OK, you come with me.”
We’re sure there are many men who wish it were that easy to go home with her.
